One of the region's premier cross country meets, hosted each September by the Baldwinsville Cross Country Booster Club. The race is open to all non-scholastic runners — alumni, family, and friends of the program.  A great race to show you still have what it takes or to experience a cross country race for the first time.

Join Search for Change, Run 4 Recovery, Drug Crisis in our Backyard and The Alliance for Safe Kids (ASK) for the 12th Annual Run for Recovery 5K Run/Walk. Participating in our Run for Recovery 5K run/walk is a powerful way to raise awareness and celebrate recovery from substance use disorders and mental health conditions. Each step symbolizes hope and resilience, honoring those who have overcome challenges. The event unites individuals, breaks stigma, and empowers others to seek help.  Crossing the finish line gives a feeling of accomplishment, knowing you have made a difference.  Recovery is possible, and together, we can inspire change. Participants are also encouraged to create a personal fundraiser and start a team to help expand the impact of this event. Fundraising is a meaningful way to honor a loved one, celebrate recovery, support prevention efforts, or advocate for mental health awareness. Teams can bring together family members, friends, coworkers, schools, organizations, or recovery communities to walk or run together in support of hope and healing. The fall classic is back once again this Sunday, September 27th 2026!  This year we are running over 50 years strong.  Join the Utica Roadrunners in downtown Utica at the State Office Building for the 5k or the scenic switchbacks 14k.  We have a kid's run too!  Please join us for the post-race party and awards ceremony at DoubleTree by Hilton Utica. Course Descriptions: The 5k course starts on a light incline for the first half mile. TURN RIGHT at the traffic circle to continue on to the 5k.  The course then flattens out for the rest of the mile (mile 1 is near the corner of Oswego St.). The start of the second mile inclines slightly and finishes flat. The remaining 1.1 mile is pretty much the first mile in reverse. The 14k course starts out the same as the 5k, on a light incline for the first half mile. TURN LEFT at the traffic circle to continue on the 14k. The course then flattens out for the rest of the mile. Mile two continues up a slight incline and starts up a slightly tougher incline up the Parkway. Mile three works it's way up Valley View and into the park. The next three miles are the scenic but challenging switchbacks and park roads. The next mile is mostly downhill. The rest of the race is the more casual downhill of Oneida and Genesee Streets with a fast finish. See you at the start line!

Run or walk your way through Hector's scenic hillside.  You'll weave your way through vineyards and farmland trails while catching glimpses of beautiful Seneca Lake.  It starts at the Valois Logan Hector Volunteer Fire Company and ends at The Oasis at Hazlitt 1852 Vineyard.  This is a fundraising event to help the Hector Area Lions Club better serve our community's needs. All runners pre-registered by 8/31/25 will receive a t-shirt.  Those registering between 9/1 - 9/28 are not guaranteed a T-shirt and will be available on a limited basis. There will be post-race activities and awards following the race at The Oasis.

Maggie lee was a counselor at the Epilepsy Association of WNY, a community activist, a friend and she had Epilepsy. In June of 2001 she died suddenly as a result of injuries sustained during a seizure. Epilepsy is a neurological disorder resulting in recurring seizures. Epilepsy affects one out of every 100 persons living in WNY.  Proceeds from the event help to support the outreach, awareness and education programs of the Epilepsy Association of WNY. The mission of the Epilepsy Association of WNY is to enable people living with Epilepsy to lead more independent, productive and satisfying lives.

Help the Youth of Western New York reach the stars through STEM!   We honor Western New York's only Astronaut William Gregory with this race, who will be present to start this fun event!  Enjoy a scenic run by the historic mansions in the heart of Lockport!  Registrants will receive a mission patch for participating and have the opportunity to upgrade to have a t-shirt as well!  Proceeds will support the STEM educational programs that the Challenger Learning Center of Lockport provides to the youth of Western New York

The Monroe Miles 5K Walk/Run is an annual staple of Monroe University’s Homecoming celebration, bringing together students, alumni, faculty, staff, families, community members and friends for a morning of fitness and community. The River Run for the Roots is an annual 5K run/walk from the Common Roots Brewery to benefit its nonprofit, the Common Roots Foundation. This looped course starts and finishes in the Park & Ride lot behind Common Roots at 58 Saratoga Ave., South Glens Falls, NY. The scenic course winds through the village of South Glens Falls, including the Betar Byway along the Hudson River. About a half mile of the course ventures onto a gravel path (the SGF Beach Bikeway) while the rest is paved.  As in past years, this race is a fundraiser for the Common Roots Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that aims to sustain and improve the quality of life in northeastern New York. Trails are very wide and easy to negotiate (rocks and roots are clearly marked for safety). Everyone, We are proud to announce a collaboration on a new charitable 5k, The Sonnenberg Gardens 5k Classic, presented by Peacemaker Running Group! This race will be held entirely within the grounds of Sonnenberg Gardens on October 9th, 2026, at 6:30 pm. The goal of this race is to celebrate our community, physical activity, Canandaigua, and especially Sonnenberg Gardens. This is a non-profit event: all revenue will go towards the logistical costs of the race and Sonnenberg Gardens, with a minimum of 25% of your registration donated to Sonnenberg Gardens. This is an inaugural race, and as such, we hope to use it as a prototype to gauge interest and optimize the course and proceedings for future events. This event is made possible by Sonnenberg Gardens and our organizing partners: Peacemaker Brewing Company and Rio Tomatlan. Race The race itself is a 1-mile loop contained entirely within Sonnenberg Gardens. The route will take runners through the gardens and around the mansion. The race will begin promptly at 6:00 pm; runners are encouraged to bring headlamps if they expect to finish after the sun sets at approximately 6:45 pm. The course route will be marked by flags. The event will not be electronically timed. Prizes will be awarded to the top male, top female, and top finisher under 18 years old. Open to runners and walkers of all paces (and those who just want to socialize!), PRG has sought to create lasting friendships and improve physical and mental well-being through exercise. With over 170 consecutive weekly runs and over 800 Facebook group members, PRG has become an institution in the community. This is PRG's fifth community charity event; past events have donated to causes such as Operation: Making Spirits Bright (donating Christmas gifts to disadvantaged veteran families), the Cheshire Volunteer Fire Department, the Finger Lakes Trails Conference, and the Naples Trail Collective.

Beautiful fall foliage is the perfect backdrop for Rocky's 5K.  Challenging hills and wide carriage roads - the perfect race for experienced trail runners and first-timers.  If you are familiar with the Rockies, test your stamina and charge those uphills!  First 5K?  The well-marked course and friendly volunteers will make it enjoyable from start to finish. For more than ten years, the Sitrin Health Care Center’s Annual Stars & Stripes Run & Walk for our Nation’s Heroes has served as the primary fundraiser for Sitrin’s Military Program. This unique program provides comprehensive, complimentary care to post-9/11 veterans and service members affected by post-traumatic stress, suicidal ideations, traumatic brain injuries, depression, and other combat-related conditions. In addition to innovative treatment, Sitrin offers the Military Civilian Coalition, designed to promote camaraderie, advocacy, educational opportunities, and transitional support to civilian life. The group meets at various locations in the community and enables veterans and civilians to interact through social and athletic endeavors. Activities include the annual Warrior Retreat at Camp Sitrin, TRX Suspension Training, golf, fly fishing, gardening, yoga, biking, therapeutic hand drumming, and more. With a continued focus on supporting veterans and service members, Sitrin is excited to continue this event every year to support local veteran care!  The 4th Annual Riggie Run, Walk & Riggiefest will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at the SUNY Polytechnic Institute campus, and will feature a 5K Run, 5K Riggie Challenge, 5K Wheelchair Race, 5K Wheelchair Riggie Challenge, 2-Mile Walk, and a 1-Mile Kids Run. Thank you for participating in the National MPS Society Run/Walk, and Post Office Cafe's 35th Annual 5K & 1K Fun Run. This event will raise awareness and funds for the National MPS Society. In our community, the Walk/Run will be held at the Post Office Cafe in celebration of Mark and Casey Lessing. In 2010, Mark lost his 20 year battle with the disorder MPS IIIA. His sister Casey passed away July, 2016 at the age of 24. MPS and related diseases are genetic disorders that affect major organs in the body, including the respiratory system, heart, bones, and nervous system. There are hundreds of children around the country waiting for a treatment and eventually a cure for these rare, progressive, and deadly diseases. The National MPS Society's mission is to provide support for individuals and their families affected by MPS or ML. Our goals are to increase public and professional awareness and to support research. The Society's ultimate goal is to find a cure for MPS disorders.

The Happy Jack 5K is an annual, family-friendly walk/run honoring the life of our son, John Thomas “Happy Jack” Doyle. All proceeds benefit The Happy Jack Fund, which provides annual scholarships to high school students who have lost a sibling, while also supporting families navigating the loss of a child. The race takes place in West Nyack, NY, and is an officially timed, out-and-back course beginning and ending at Germonds Park. Traffic along the course is safely managed by the Clarkstown Police Department. Prior to the main event, we also host a kids’ fun run open to all ages. Follow Lyncrest to the end making a right onto Shetland Drive, taking that to the end and make a right onto Teakwood Lane (turns into Stratford Place). Take that to the end and make a right onto Jolen Drive and then a left onto Whitewood Drive. This will take you back out to Germonds Road where you turn left and then a quick right and follow it back to the park where the finish line is located.  Walkers will follow the same route (behind the runners) and once on Lyncrest you make a right onto Jolen Drive and then a right onto Whitewood Drive.  The race course is clearly marked with signs and will also have our volunteers there to direct and support you. Malverne 5K Run-Walk The Malverne 5K run-walk for education is organized by the Malverne Educational and Fitness Foundation (MEFF). The net proceeds of the 5K run go to the MEFF, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization that supports youth programs within the Malverne school district. The packet pickup and day-of-run registration take place at Malverne High School, starting at 7:30 a.m. (school located east of Ocean Ave.). The main event, the 5K run, is preceded by a fun run (200 meters) for children aged 10 and under. The fun run starts at 8:30. The start of the kids run is at the intersection of Wicks Ln and N Cambridge Street. Kids (and their parents) run on Wicks Ln toward the start line of the 5K run at H.T. Our mission is to assist a Park and Recreation System which enriches the quality of life for residents and visitors alike and preserves it for future generations. This will enable us to provide learning, competition and an enjoyable, social experience that promotes development of the whole person (not just the athlete) including respect of oneself and others, the programs, the coaches, counselors, our families and the community. Ways Recreation Serves Our Community Gavin Park is a central recreation complex for residents of the Town of Wilton and surrounding communities. Not only does Gavin Park offer a myriad of youth activities such as an After School Program and Summer Day Camp, sports programs for baseball, soccer, basketball, pickleball and coaches’ clinics, and family celebrations like the Holiday Tree lighting and Community Day, and also hosts several regional athletic tournaments and events that bring thousands of people to the area who frequent local shops, restaurants and hotels. Additionally, Gavin Park provides employment opportunities for many area youth.

Sidney Sabers and SSADD (Sidney Students Against Destructive Decisions) will be hosting our 8th annual 5k walk/run and 10K run. Runners competing in the 10k will run the same course twice. The race will start at 1:00 on 10/18/2026. ALL proceeds will go to Sidney’s Delaware Valley Humane Society, Ronald McDonald House Charities, and SSADD. The 5k/10k will start and end at Sidney High School and will be timed for competitive runners. After the race there will be awards based on age group, food and beverage, and music. There will also be a half mile color run to follow after the race starting at 2:30.Performance T-Shirts will be made and distributed at the start of the race. The cost per shirt will be 20$. By purchasing a shirt you will be already registered for both runs. You do not have to purchase one in order to participate in the race. However, we are trying to raise as much money as possible for these causes.

Located in the Hamlet of Honeoye, you will experience beautiful fall foliage throughout the entire course without the annoyance of vehicle traffic. There are two distances available, the traditional 5K and the only 9K in New York! You may have to dodge a few rabbits or squirrels or yield to a fairy or two in Hopson's Forest! The majority of the course is a combination of wide grassy trails through WoodsEdge Retreat and established trails through Sandy Bottom Park. If we’re lucky, our pair of resident Bald Eagles will guide the way. This year's beneficiary will be Embrace Your Sisters. Their Mission is to provide support and hope to people in our communities struggling with Breast Cancer through financial assistance, education and informational resources. Event is timed by Robinhood Racing Post race event at Birdhouse Brewery located across the street from the start /finish line. Post race event to include live music, a complementary pint of Birdhouse beer and a good time with friends and family. Our friends from Dainty Donuts will be back again this year! The Malta 5k Trail Race course begins at the Luther Forest Tech Campus soccer fields and quickly enters some of the best maintained trails in the area at 100 Acre Woods.   Most of the course is covered in stone dust and 6' wide. Other sections are on soft ground that feels like you are immersed in nature. This course is for everyone that loves to run or hike on trails with beautiful scenery the whole way!  #Malta5kTrailRace Volunteers from Roundabout Runners Club maintain these trails.  100% of proceeds from the event go to activities that support the club efforts to keep these trails in great shape! Run the Race...Stop the Stigma!   Summer Smith was a loving mother of three boys who lost her 12-year battle with addiction on January 9th, 2015.   Summer's mom Kristin has established this race in her memory. Summer desired to live a life in recovery and fought hard to overcome the disease of addiction.  The 10th Annual Summer Smith 5k Addiction Awareness Memorial Run is an event that will be held on October 24th, 2026, at Guilderland High School in Guilderland Center, New York. Start time of the 5k will be 10 am. Both runners and walkers are welcome. This is a child/stroller friendly/dog friendly event. This is free for kids. Halloween costumes are encouraged! Spooky Sprinters may pre-register.  The 5K Pumpkin Run starts at the High School, heading East on Nickerson Street and then South on Lincklaen Street. After turning right onto Seminary Street, the route then turns north winding through the village and town ending back in front of the Middle School. All proceeds will support Cheryl Walker's Nursing Scholarship. Her family started this nursing scholarship in her name to honor her memory, and to pay forward to the profession she loved so much. She worked in multiple areas of the field, and was very esteemed and highly regarded by colleagues in each. In her free time, she loved to run, hike, spend time with her tight-knit family and, walk her beloved dogs. This year's 5K walk is in person on October 25th and can be a solo virtual event for you if you cannot make it on the 25th (Walk anytime, anywhere in the month of October to raise funds for mental health care for the uninsured and underinsured).  This walk benefits Spiritus Christi Mental Health Center, where we are celebrating over 25 years of providing access to mental health care and support to people who need it, regardless of their insurance status or income. Our volunteer staff of therapists, social workers, and advocates helps people get the care they need to live safe, healthy, less stressful lives.  Last year, 204 people participated in one or more of our programs. Suddenly her world changed to countless trips to Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital; numerous blood transfusions; and a life of seclusion, away from germs and any viruses that could be very harmful. Leah couldn’t return to school and wasn’t able to see her friends for most of the year. Because of the funds raised by Blood Cancer United (BCU) and because of people like you who support events like this Leah and others have benefited from the services BCU offers. With the support of Blood Cancer United Leah has gotten through treatments and realized a life after her fight with blood cancer. Her family also got the support they needed throughout, that is why we continue to raise money, to help future families like Leah's. Having cancer certainly isn't fair especially for a child and as a parent I can't imagine what it would be like to tell your child that they have cancer. This is why I honor Leah and help work towards finding the cures. Blood Cancer United has a commitment to people like Leah struggling and fighting to beat cancer. He is a devoted father to his two sons, Michael and Thomas, a proud father-in-law to Carly, and a cherished grandfather to his two granddaughters, Avery, age 12, and Courtland, age 3. Mike earned his master’s degree from Syracuse University and spent his career as an environmental scientist with Stantec before retiring in 2022. He is a devoted East Rochester resident who gave back to his community through 12 years of service on the village board as a trustee and deputy mayor, as well as serving on the Housing Authority and Board of Assessment Review. An avid runner, Mike has participated in this very race several times over the years. A true family man, Mike is known for being kind, honest, loyal, funny, and incredibly social—simply put, one of the best people you could ever meet. In February 2025, Mike was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma and has undergone chemotherapy, facing several hospitalizations along the way with strength and resilience. During his tenure in service to the Village of East Rochester as a past Trustee and Deputy Mayor, Mike has been instrumental in advocating for the village to provide Public Safety and Highway Department staff it no cost to the charity for this and all of the 5Ks that have taken place over the past 17 years. Today, we honor Mike—not only for the challenges he continues to face, but for the life he’s built, the love he shares with his family and community, and the determination that reflects the spirit of this race. Proceeds of the race will be split between Mike and Wilmot Cancer Center Needs Fund.

The Rockland Road Runners To Infinity & Beyond Halloween 5K will be a fun event for kids and adults. The money raised will go to the Jordyn Seiden Memorial Fund which will benefit kids who struggle with mental illness and intellectual developmental issues. Race day fun begins at 8:45 AM and includes a Kids Fun Run, a costume contest, marching band, a clown, DJ Drewski, face painting, a pumpkin patch, apple cider, and more.⁣  The race starts at 9:45am ⁣We encourage you to arrive early so you, your kids, family, and friends can ALL enjoy all the Halloween-themed activities. The resulting Battles of Saratoga are considered to be sparks that precipitated a turning point in the war and to eventual victory for the Americans.  We are excited to join with the Saratoga County 250th Commission to celebrate this historic site, and the commemorate the 250th Anniversary of the Battles at Saratoga, "America's Turning Point".   The Saratoga County 250th American Revolution Commission consists of 13 official members (in honor of the 13 original colonies) tasked with planning and organizing all ceremonies, events, activities and celebrations recognizing the 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution in Saratoga County. Audubon Community Nature Center's Wild 5k run/walk is back! Fall is a great time to experience Audubon’s trails. The run/walk course takes participants through shady hemlock forests, over boardwalks, past fields, and back to the Nature Center. Audubon’s trail system is in a glacial valley, which makes the trail exceptionally flat.  The course starts out on a 12-foot-wide maintenance road before narrowing to 6-foot-wide trails further on. The course is well-marked with white arrows. Come run, walk, stroll, or saunter to support Audubon. This year, money raised in the Wild 5k will support care for our Animal Ambassadors, including our three birds-of-prey.

The 2026 Race is presented by New Paltz Healthy & Nutrition Center and Kniffen Homes.. The Family of New Paltz Turkey Trot is a 5K run and walk held annually Thanksgiving morning to support Family of New Paltz’s Food Pantry and Crisis Services. Family of New Paltz is a crisis intervention center located in the heart of New Paltz since 1975. Family provides a myriad of services, including a 24 hour hotline and new text line, food pantry, counseling, support groups and shelters for adults, adolescents and victims of domestic violence. This year's event will include the famous Mashed Potato Fun Run, which is free for kids 12 and under, and for the more serious runners, our USATF certified 5K course will include chip timed start and finish. As part of the package provided by the chip-timing company, photos of individual runners crossing the finish line will be available for upload at no cost. Age groups this coming year will be in ten-year increments, and medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each age group, with separate awards for male and female. Join us Thanksgiving morning for the Bloodline Turkey Trot 5K, formerly known as the CYO Basketball Turkey Trot!  Over the last three years, this race has grown so much in size!  What started off as a small event has become one with almost 600 runners last year! We want to support as many student athletes as we can, so CYO basketball has merged with Bloodline Sports and The Warwick XC Purple Wave!  We are so proud of this race and want it to continue to grow!   We have moved operations across the street to the middle school.  We will be starting at the Warwick track and continuing towards the same route as the past years.  The finish line will be at the track!  It will be timed and the distance has been professionally measured. This family-friendly 5K run or walk brings the Warwick community together for a fun and active start to Thanksgiving while supporting Warwick athletes. Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are welcome. Strollers and leashed dogs are welcome as well! Turkey costumes are encouraged! The Arc Ontario's Annual Canandaigua Turkey Trot 5k Fun Run & Walk will commence at F.A. Baker Memorial Park for the sixteenth year! NOTE: There are no bibs or packet pickup for this race! To keep our Trot as inclusive as possible, we keep everything laid back. Once you're registered, head to the starting line, and have fun! Get Ready to run for a reason! Gather your friends and family and kick-off the holiday season with The Arc Ontario! Pre-register for the race for an early bird rate of $20 (Please note there is an additional $2.20 processing fee charged by RunSignUp that is not included in the $20 registration price). Early registration closes November 25th at 11:59 PM; Day of registration will be $25 and will be available online until 9:00 am on November 26th; Children 12 and under can register for free.  Proceeds from the Canandaigua Turkey Trot will benefit the Friends of The Arc Ontario Foundation and The Arc Ontario's programs and services supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and other challenges. Join us on Thanksgiving morning for the 5th annual Cambridge Thanksgiving Turkey Trot 5k.  This will be a morning of fun, community fellowship, and exercise! This fast and scenic course will start at the old brick Coila Church on State Route 372 complete with its new addition and increased parking capacity, and head towards the village of Cambridge.  You will get to run along Old Coila Road, through portions of downtown, and by the old Cambridge Hotel before heading back down main street and finishing at The Coila Church, where snacks and beverages will be handed out as you finish, along with finish photos and finisher goodies!  Course maps will be provided at check-in, route will be clearly marked and controlled by law enforcement to ensure safety. Over the last 4 years, we have been proud to put 100% of registration profit towards the Cambridge Food Pantry, the CVRS (Cambridge Valley Rescue Squad), and the Cambridge Fuel Fund!  This year's donations recipient will be the Cambridge Fuel Fund! The Owego Rotary Turkey Trot 5K will be run Thursday morning, November 27, 2026 at Marvin Park in Owego NY. 8:00 - Bib pick up opens 9:30 - 5K Race starts.  Race is capped at 100 participants that will receive the Owego Rotary Turkey Trot Medal. The course is an out and back that begins and ends in Marvin Park. Exits the Marvin Park onto Elm Street. Turns Left at McMaster Street heading towards the railroad tracks.
